I saw the original Japanese version, and I thought it was the most boring piece of shit. You figure out the "mystery" too early. And for a horror film, there are NO scares at all. There's a build up to something happening, and you end up CREATING your own scares by expecting something to happen and bracing yourself for it, and then nothing happens. NOTHING.

The American remake can only be better.
