I feel IX is the worst one on the PS and actually close to the bottom of all of them. It just felt like a wannabe FF, the storyline was stale and I also despised most of the characters.

I enjoyed FFVIII more the 2nd and 3rd time through. The first time I played through I was bitching about it too much to really enjoy the game. It didn't live up to VII, that's for sure.
