I haven't tried yet. I've mainly just been working on killing the big group of villagers that appear before you go into the house. I only went in the house once, and then I was too distracted by the villagers coming through the window (that I accidentally shot open) to notice that the chainsaw guy had chopped through the door and was right behind me.
