Running gag: Ernest's wacky barber. Every visit would end in Ernest getting some bizarre and unlikely 'do.
"Agghh! I said I wanted to look like a Wall Street Tycoon!"
"Oh, I thought you said a clock set at noon." (or a hairy baboon, or a runcible spoon, etc.)
