I live in the centre of a city with more overdoses and fatalities per head of population than anywhere else in Britain. Heroin overdoses are the leading cause of death among men aged 20 to 44 here. I see them every day and they make me sick. I wouldn't give them a penny and I don't want a penny of my taxes going to them either. When I see them sat begging for money with their mouths hanging open I just want to stick my boot in it.
