I think it's mostly just hype, but I have really coarse facial hair and my non-powered razors tended to get stuck, so I'd have to pick up the blade and re-stroke harder to clear it. With this I can just buzz up and keep the same pace without tearing the shit out of my face.

It also does seem to get a little closer. The fusion even moreso than the mach 3.

Also up until now all gillete razors came with 2 backup razors but this bastard shipped with 0.

Oh and that one blade on the back is the sex, again. I cut myself with it today but the concept is so worth it.
