Every other religion doesn't charge money for you to move up in order to find out their actual beliefs. Every other reilgion wasn't made a few decades ago by a science fiction writer who claimed the way to get rich was to invent a religion. Every other religion doesn't have special celebrity centers. Most religions have long histories and shared cultures among them. I'm pretty sure scientology came all from L Hubbard's mind. Every other religion doesn't use threats to keep you a member of their group. Every other religion isn't banned in Germany for being a dangerous cult.
Believe whatever you want about other religion's teachings but to compare the craziness of a 'religion' invented for the sole purpose to create money for a science fiction writer a few decades ago to ones that share hundreds of years of culture and were most likly created and written down by people who actually belived, or at best were trying to find a way to explain things they couldn't explain other ways, in the things they were teaching and writing down unlike L Hubbard. I hate when people who compare real cults to established relgions. Established religions don't force you to pay them money for fucking everything or to be followed around by an advisor. Do some research on scientology and you will realize how much more of a 'wacko cult' it really is compared to established religions or even unestablished ones like wicca or whatever else people pratice. It is ignorance in my opinion to compare it to other religions or say it doesn't seem any less wacko.
