More like I make things work at work. I'm a process technician which basically amounts to making sure the correct materials are used at the correct ratio, all the machine parameters are set right for THAT particular part, babysitting and troubleshooting problems during operation, ect. It's sort of touches on the mechanical aspects to a certain degree but most mechanical things are left to the engineers. I don't want to bore you by getting into too much detail about it. My REAL point was about respect and getting people to listen to you ... i.e. not being treated like a retard or something.
