You seem to be under a mistaken impression.

We discuss these topics idly for the most part, I don't think anyone here works up any great amount of emotion over abstract conversation.

As for being obvious, if we weren't, the canucks and eurotrash that frequent this place would need someone to explain things to them. We do it as a kindness.
