When I was in Patia (sp?) Beach, Thailand for training in the Army, all the "drinky girl prostitutes" that approached us looked like they were about thirteen or so. Even though I didn't partake of their services, I left feeling disgusted and ashamed of myself for my drunken thoughts. My suspicions were confirmed when I returned to the states and one of the sergeants I talked to said that "Yes, most of them are underage. It's the pedophile's dream vacation." Looking back, I felt kind of sorry for them. How sad
I don't mean to steroetype Thai women, though. You hang around the military drinky bars and that's the element that exists. Most Thai people I met outside that environment were, if anything, overly friendly and seem to be hardworking.
