You can't do strong grapples in smackdown vs raw right at the beginning, either. Some movesets simply don't allow it without body damage, and for the others it's really simple to counter out of it. In the beginning, you have to use strikes and quick grapples to wear someone down before you can do the moss-covered 3-handled credenza.
