I have primarily been raised in missouri/illinois. I always heard "quarter 'til".
I moved to Columbus for a bit, and first heard "quarter of". Then i found, the person who said that was from Pennsylvania.
Not to diss anyone, but it must be a regional East Coast thing.
You know, like no one says "hella" outside San Francisco.
