I haven't come across any ads. In fact, I think the only ads I've gotten in the past year were from Firefox.
Oh, and you can middle-click to close, as I just mistakenly tried on a tab I was reading. Also, the scrolling up and down a page feels cool, but in a way I can't explain to you because I don't know how to explain it.
