So the hose for my washing machine just broke.
I thought the ludicrous sound was my dad's air compressor for about 5 minutes, and then I noticed that the laundryroom was flooded with about half an inch of water and it was slowly creeping under the carpet towards all of my electronic fiddle faddle.
It's like New Orleans came to my basement!
