Spelling problems aside, (an editor'd take care of that), it sounds like the perfect article for a "who-cares?" throwaway student paper like the one you're talking about. I'd do editorials like that for my own school's paper but I always get bored and digusted with myself because I'd be writing for the school's newspaper.
