I'd go with the 360. It's cheaper, and it's got a lot of good games. Also, if you like FPS's, it's the best console out there.
Admittedly, the PS3 is quieter, and online play is free, but the 360 servers have ALWAYS been better for my 360 than my friend's ps3.
