1. You can disable the UAC in Control Panel so that you're not asked for permission to do everything. Takes about a minute.

Vista isn't the anti-christ everyone thinks it is, and I hate to admit it, but I like it better than XP now. Then again, I've taken the time to learn the OS a bit.
