I really want to work up the courage to donate blood, but I'm terrified of needles/things being inserted through my skin. Plus, my Mom had some trouble with donating blood a while ago and I'm worried that might happen to me too.
Oh, and after a blood donation at my high school, I heard stories like "They kept missing the vein". Dang if I'm going to lay there while they take multiple attempts to shove something in my arm that I don't even want there.
