So which one are you Gus? Competitive swimmer or fitness swimmer?
I'm the latter, I've never been into competing, mostly because it seems to turn majority of people into assholes who either diss you if you lose or back stab you if you win.
Back in the days I used to be a member in the competitor team but I resigned, after my 3rd coach hinted that I should participate in the competitions or GTFO because "We're supposed to compete, not play around". This was hilarious, because the previous coaches had nothing against it that I wouldn't attend any competitions.
Apparently it's wrong to exercise a sport just because you love it, you have to aim for gold and glory 24/7
