The Shining IS fucking creepy. I prefer the classic Kubrick version.
Although...maybe someone else can weigh in here....I could swear that one of the last scenes used to be different. We just watched it again the other day on the HD movie channel. And

You know right after the scene where he's chasing the kid through the maze, right after they get in the working snow-thing and drive off...you know how there's this really LOUD instrumental as they suddenly show a pic of Jack Nicholson frozen?
It always makes me jump, but didn't that used to be a close-up of his face? Or has it always been an entire-upper-body shot and I've just zoned in on the creepy face?
I could have sworn it used to be a closeup and thought maybe I was watching a different version. |
