Anyway, they weren't stoners. Frank Zappa was pretty big against drug use and alcohol consumption. He smoked cigarettes, but that's it.
Which is a fun fact to consider when you listen to his music, as most people's first reaction to the Mothers of Invention is hearing "records of stoners rambling on about pigs and ponies" (and vegetables and hippies).
