Not sure what to say other than to really focus on the flashing jewel or when he flashes red, since dodging when they flash red guarantees that you won't get hit (though some punches require you to duck or dodge a certain direction).

If you hit him when the jewel is flashing yellow, just before he attacks, you can get a star. The same works if you hit him when he flashes red just before an uppercut. He's also got a tricky instant knockdown weakness if you properly time a body blow as he comes at you during his Tiger Rush (meaning you can get a TKO in three punches if you've got the timing of a god).
