I am referring to the sample rate in
khz,
not the bitrate of an MP3 in
kbits. They are two entirely different things.
I am sampling the audio at 24-bit 96khz; an MP3 is 16-bit 44.1khz.
I have the capability of sampling at 32-bit 192khz, but that is just wantonly excessive for an analog signal.
The MP3 will most likely be encoding using a variable bitrate to maximize sound quality while minimizing the file size.
