Its a device that you can use to download digital copies of books to and read. Its kind of like iTunes for literature. You pay however much for a book, download it to your device then read it. I dont actually own one so I cant explain it much beyond that. iPhone users can download a Kindle app. that basically turns their phone into one as well.
