The weirdest thing was when I watched Goonies the first time as a kid, I could have sworn that there was a shriveled up blue eye under that patch. Then when it came out on VHS and then DVD, of course, I saw it and the blue eye wasn't there.
I wonder if I was so terrified of there being a gross eye under the patch that my brain just filled in that memory.
