It's a mixture of 1/4th water and 3/4ths lighter fluid in a beer bottle. We spray the beer bottle and the table with the lighter fluid too, light that and then keep stoking the table with more fluid until the water starts to boil and sends steam/lighter fluid up through the spout in bursts, some of them cultivating in a fireball. Some have been as high as 15 feet.

It is dangerous though since sometimes the bottle will get too hot, like if the lighter fluid gets on the bottle instead of the wood when stoking it. That causes the bottle to explode sometimes, other times just fall apart. Plus there's the whole fire hazard. We keep a hose nearby just in case. We figured this out when water got into the lighter fluid after a rain and we decided to just pour it into a bottle and light the bottle on fire.
