You are right. There is a lot of walking. Or driving, if you manage to obtain a vehicle. But what the videos don't show you is the atmosphere and the feeling of "being there". As survival games go, this is the shit. The learning curve is kinda steep and you are going to live for maybe 20 minutes at a time at first. But once you get the hang of it, there is no going back.
For those intrested, basic tips: trust no one, deer stands and barns are the places to loot in the beginning, Lee Enfield is also known as the "dinner bell" so careful with it, never run when standing up if near a village/town, avoid open fields, avoid airfields, learn the horrible inventory system, study this map
