Granted, you know a good deal about what the guy is like from the wife beating, but the SENTENCE WAS FOR BEATING HIS SPITING ON A COP! THAT'S SCARY! Of course it will get overturned, but the very idea that you could get a law like that on the books at all is a very bad sign. I think it's quaint you liberatarians don't see this as a first step at SEVERELY increasing police powers and protection.
