Has anyone else ever taken General Astronomy in thier first year? what was it like? Is it worth it ? etc.

I like planets and ufos and stuff. And I listen to coast to coast Am plus I am halfway through hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. so maybe this is a good elective for me.
