I agree with Ghosts 'n Goblins for arcade/NES. (Super) Ghouls 'n Ghosts wasn't
nearly as bad as the original. I remember the first time I 'beat' that game on NES with my friend. It was 3 in the morning, we were playing for hours... we got to the end, only to see:
THIS ROOM IS AN ILLUSION
AND IS A TRAP DEVISUT BY SATAN.
GO AHEAD DAUNTLESSLY!
MAKE RAPID PROGRESS!
And then being forced to go through ALL THAT SHIT
again!!
We actually did finish it eventually, but not that night.
