Max I really respect what you say and most of the time (on most subjects) I "lurkingly" agree with you. I can also understand why you feel sorry for what has happened to her but, I'm more hard about it.
She is definitely going with the Hollywood Glam of it and with NO doubt, she will cash in BIG TIME with her story (books, movies, merchandise ....$$
) She will not be missing out on money, THAT is for sure!!
But, tell me, do you think that these kids that enroll themselves in the army, navy, marines are complete morons? Most of them are intelligent and they
know that they
might get into actual combat..if they were too scared, they shouldn't have signed up! I know that its really hard-core to say that but what more is there to say?! I have a relative that is in Iraq right now and as much as I disagree with him being there, I couldn't stop him with a steam-roller (and I almost tried)! He is 20 years old, and before he left for Kuwait, I asked him why he was doing this and all he said to me was: "because I am doing what feels right for me!"
I am sure that Jessica is happy to be home, good for her...I wish it was my brother...but wtf is the bronze medal for, common now!
