Pennies off the dollar? It's a bit more than pennies.
Do you realize that the tax rate in the U.S. used to be around 2%? Look at it now. Ugh.
Anyway, I don't like Welfare because it is so open to abuse. I honestly despise those who mooch off of it at the expense of others - like a child who lives off their parents. People who could get a decent job, such as construction, but refuse to. Thinking they are too good to work or something.
These people are slobs. There are people out there who are delivering pizzas for a living and these guys just sit on their tush. It's the people who are actually contributing to society that deserve anything, and even then I think there are better ways to solve the problem than Welfare.
