No, it's kind of a joke within a joke. I'm always amused that people think Sodom was a city of gay people. Like the mayor said "You know, we all like butt sex so much, let's name our town Sodom."

Actually the only sin mentioned in the bible the soddomites were guilty of was inhospitality.

I've also always wondered why, when picking names for 'sins', no one was interested in calling something Gamoramy. If it's still up for grabs, I think I'd like to call talking louldy on a cell phone while on commuter rail gamoramy.
