The first time I won FF8, Dirk (Squall is a gay fucking name so I renamed him Dirk
) was in level 100. Zell and Rinoa were both in like level forty something, adn all my other characters were like in level 25 to 30. I could have easily won the game using only one character, because that's basically what I did. But it's not like I needed anybody to be in a higher level. Everyone's HP was still at 9999, because of that junction shit. I beat Ultima weapon on my first try, in only three moves: Draw Eden, cast Aura on Dirk, and Dirk did his fouth limit break. I don't even know if he attacked me. I've never beaten Omega weapon, although I didn't try too hard what with him being completely inconsequential and all.
The thing that really pisses me off about FF8 is the whole way you get new weapons. Getting adamantine is ridiculously hard, since those fucking turtles you get it from are rare as hell, and even if you do finally find one, it usually won't drop any adamantine.
