I believe that Friday The 13th Part 8 contains a scene of a girl in a disco section of the boat trying to escape Jason through different corridors, but he keeps re-appearing in front of her every time she turns around. I guess that pretty much explains (sort of) why he could catch pretty much anyone. Teleporting bastard.
