Fast food wages fill the need of senior citizens who don't want to earn enough money to affect their social security checks and those teenages who have no job skills but want to earn enough money for the car payment while mommy and daddy pay off the outrageous insurance rates to cover him/her. It's a social necessity, not a skilled labor, unionized job with benefits that you take on for life ... unless you're the manager who, for some reason, stuck around long enough to go to McCollege and ten years later is still in the same store wondering whatever happened to his dream of pursuing a degree in underwater basketweaving.
