This will be well over before election time, the war part anyway.

Everything is not as bad as the 24hr news media may make it seem. There are no setbacks, quagmires, Vietnams, etc. These are just popular buzzwords. Of course there could be setbacks and quagmires, but I don't see it that way at this time.

People die in war. Soldiers die in war. Plans change on a daily basis. Sometimes there are no plans. This has always been the case. Considering how quick the coalition has secured over half of Iraq, captured thousands of prisoners, secured major oil sites, kept down collateral damage, and have had relatively few casualties, I would say this war has progressed about as good as a war could, compared with prior battles of course.
