I'm gonna enter two portraits in the county fair, and it was lolz picking up the rulebook today. Entry fee per item $1. Grand prize wins $3, runner up wins $2. Big note, NO ADDITIONAL MONETARY PRIZE FOR BEST IN SHOW.
