I already answered the question about Max... he got a full-time teaching job and I'm guessing he's spending what little free time he has left with his family. Glad he finally found a place that wanted to hire him, because he'd make an awesome teacher.
As for the downtime, I'm not really sure what you're talking about. We still posted articles during that entire time. Things always get a little busy during the summer for me what with Comic-Con 'n all.
