RULES

GENERAL

Do not post in someone else's fight thread. If you do, you will be removed from the tournament and possibly banned. We will have a commentary thread available for you to talk about the fights.

VOTERS

The tournament is run in single-elimination style, and voters are voting on who they feel 'won' each fight this time. Voters may vote on whatever matches they choose, but we urge you to read and vote on them all. Competitors may not vote on their own matches (this is because some idiot would always forget to vote for himself and end up getting screwed).

COMPETITORS

- No hotlinking of any kind.
Competitors will have hosting available on the I-Mockery servers so that we can preserve the fights without broken links. Save any pictures you want to use to your hard disk and then upload them to us. We'll make it really easy for you to upload stuff. Trust me.

- No editing.
You will not be able to edit your posts. So double-check what you're posting before you post it.

- Notify us first if there will be Not Safe For Work material.
If you want to post a picture of naked pygmies being disembowled to really drive home the point that your opponent has pre-marital affairs with UNICEF-aided children, go ahead. However, you must PM an administrator first and ask them to tag your thread [NSFW]. Only after your thread has this tag may you post that shit.

SCHEDULING

Signups will run through this week (Oct 31 - Nov 4). Here's basically what's going on:

The first round, Qualifiers, will be a free-for-all thread for all the participants to rumble in. This round will last 6 days. At the end, everyone will vote on their top 10 favorite mockers of the qualifiers. You will not vote on who 'won', but rather who put on the best show. The winners will be the largest power of 2 available, up to 32, and seeded so that #1 fights #32, and so on. The contest will run for 5 rounds, for 6 weeks, avoiding holidays.

Rounds will last 3 days, either Sun-Mon-Tue or Wed-Thurs-Fri. Rounds open at noon on the first day and end at midnight on the final day (Eastern Standard Time, GMT -4). Before each round, you and your opponent will pick which of those 3-day sets you prefer. Voting begins at midnight on Friday and runs until 9 PM on Saturday.

The blocks of time for the rounds are:

Qualifiers: November 6-11
Round 1: Nov 13-15 or Nov 16-18
Round 2: Nov 20-22 or Nov 23-25 (Keep in mind Thanksgiving is the 24th)
Round 3: Nov 27-29 or Nov 30-Dec 2
Round 4 (Semifinals): Dec 4-6 or Dec 7-9
Round 5 (Finals): Dec 11-13 or Dec 14-16

PARTICIPATION

Anyone with a custom title may participate. Getting a custom title requires a donation to the board of at least $2. Emphasis on at least, as we have server bills to pay. If you've already donated, feel free to do again now.

People specifically invited to the Wars from admins do not have to donate. If you know someone who would like to join but cannot afford the $2 donation fee, let me know and we'll review whether they're important enough to get in free.

Participation takes 3 forms:
Competing - Entering into the tournament.
Voting - Voting on tournament matches.
Reading - Reading tournament matches before the rounds close. Once the rounds close, they will be moved to a public forum so everyone can read.

If you want to donate to the boards, CLICK HERE to do so.

All participants may vote and read, obviously. If you want to compete, you need to sign up in this thread before midnight on Sunday. STATE WHETHER YOU WANT TO COMPETE, VOTE, OR JUST READ.
