Lately I have been having trouble with my laptop randomly powering down. This occurs when I am using the power adaptor and have a fully charged battery. My first thought was that it might be some kind of virus, but I ran AVG and none were detected. Any other ideas on what the problem could be?

Crappy battery connection, maybe. Or the battery is wearing out and isn't holding as much of a charge as it's reporting. :/

Well are you playing games or are you running your pc with like a million programs? Does it lag before it shuts down?

No, there's no lag at all. I has happened to me a few times when I was only using a few programs, such as MS Word and IE. I've read on other message boards that some people have experienced similar things when they had issues with ROM compatability, but that doesn't seem like it would cause the computer to shutdown so abruptly.

Well do you have fast ram? I dont know much about laptops but run dxdiag and look at your specs, then post those so i can get a better understanding of what might be the problem.

To run dxdiag go to the start menu, then run, then type dxdiag and make sure you get the page that tells you your computer name because that page has all the processor speed and ram speed and etc. It should be the first page that pops up.
