		The FCC has mandated that TV stations stop airing analog signals by 2006.  So all the over-the-air stations will have to go on HDTV.  Any non-HDTV unit will have to get that HDTV converter box, and even then you'll only get regular TV reception.  Not sure about what the rule is for cable, but I think it's the same.  In the next couple of years HDTV prices will continue to plummet, and I don't think it's really worth it to by an expensive conventional TV unit at this point.
