This is what I learned about Marines tonight:
Their motto is: Always Faithful (Semper Fidelis)

They have a reputation for drinking a lot. And for living lives with integrity. They like having integrity. They understand working hard produces results. And they like integrity, too.

There aren't that many of them and they are proud.
They train there nuts off for 91 days just to be accepted. They claim that Recruit Training will change your life forever, no matter what.

They have a martial arts program and they fight in their full uniform, boots and all. They don't wear robes. This training is unique to the Marines.

They are the "aggressive tip" of the U.S. Military Spear. They are the smallest of the units, yet the only one with sea, land, and air capabilities.

The group's official birth was November 10, 1775 when Congress approved two batallions of Marines.

All Marines are in a state of battle-readiness. Their mobility is one of their key characteristics. All Marines are also trained to be Riflemen first and foremost. This is to protect their people, regardless of their speciality.

MRE means Meals Ready to Eat.
They contain approximately 1200 calories.
