I don't know how many people have been looking forward to the new kingdom hearts game, but I loved the first one and I can't wait for the next one, its suppose to be released this year. There's a new fighting system in this one that lets you fuse with one of your party members giving you a new costume, new fighting mechanics and the ability to weild two keylades.

I thought the same thing until I actually played the game. It's pretty fun, a way of playing final fantasy without all of the final fantasy series gay rpg-styled boring battles.

I was a skeptic, but I ended up loving it. There are only a few games I keep after playing and beating them, and Kingdom Hearts is one of those games. I am looking foward to the next installment.

I strongly stand by my opinion that Kingdom Hearts is pure magic pressed into disc form, and anyone who doesn't like it is leading a very sad and empty life.

I did indeed enjoy the game, but to me it had a lot less replay value than your traditional RPG.

I know I'll probably like the second one, but I'll give it a rental first. It's not turning out to be a series I like enough to buy outright.

To me, a lot of RPGs don't have a lot of replay value. I just spent 70-100 hours on a game, and going through this experience, I don't really feel like starting it all over.

Also, I'd suggest people check out Chain of Memories before they get KH2. CoM starts out really slow, feeling like a remixed rehash of the first game. But then it just opens up and reveals more of the story and new characters, which then sets up Kingdom Hearts 2.

I'm not exactly sure if they'll catch people up to speed if they didn't play CoM. Sure, they'll possibly reintroduce and bring up some characters and moments, but I think there will be a few gaps that CoM fills.

Kingdom Hearts, like Final Fantasy VII, is recognized nearly universally as an outstanding game. Being in the overwhelming minority, I believe it is on the shoulders of the game's detractors to prove that it is not.

Personally, I think it is better than FF VII, simply because it is such a strange combo that it was either going to rock or flop, and it rocked. It had a bigger challenge ahead of it that FF VII did, because it was a completely new series with an idea that many didn't like at first. Final Fantasy, however, was already an established series with many devout followers. So I think Kingdom Hearts is the bigger triumph.
