China
I'm just making this thread because IS keeps mentioning he hates China. Really, I know little about the situation, but I think it's important to open dialogue. I see China's problem as being that their economy has overgrown communism, which worked well for them in the context of the 1950s or so, but they are in desperate need to evolve to social democracy and ultimately free market capitalism. The government doesn't want to lose power in making this transition, and so they clutch onto it. The product: a state run by assholes.
It makes sense for them to be the biggest assholes possible in order for people to take them seriously on the global stage. So what is to be done? I think trade sanctions should be imposed so that they alleviate their human rights standards. Obviously their military build-up is not pleasing, but it would be hypocritical to infringe on their rights thereof UNTIL they begin to actually threaten action. Given recent events, I don't see this far-fetched about happening very soon.
