Old Oct 24th, 2005, 01:53 PM        Tip of the Iceberg: Halliburton party to human trafficking
In a little reported story, Halliburton seems to be contracting with 'brokers' who lure impoverished workers from Nepal with offers of hotel work in Joran. The jobs are in reality high rish work inside Iraq. If the workers refuse, they are abandoned far from home and even if they can somehow make their way home, enormous debts to the 'brokers'. It's little short of slavery.

To add insult to injury, this 'recruitment program' is in part, financed by US tax dollars.

More as I find it.
