My gf bought me this today.

Its so much fun.

They drastically improved the way city building works so its more pretty and fun. As well the creatures look more detailed and training them is easier.

The army and battle system is so simplistic yet fun that I enjoy it as much if not more than RTS. There no micro but theres all the fun of making armies and battling.

My only complaint thus far is that no more how evil I try to be without destroying my city I stay on the good side of godhood. Though I am taking into account I don't even have attack miracles yet.

Are those goddamn good and evil guys still in it. If so, im staying the hell away from this game. "oh good, you picked up a rock! now throw it into that big rock over there. No no no. lets try that again"

The good and evil guys are back in it and yes the tutorial is somewhat frustrating but its over quick enough and after that they only make random comments on important stuff.

The villagers dont talk at all unless its a quest or you're killing them. In further news I have since decided that building an army is only worthwile if you are purely militaristic. Otherwise just making your creature a killing machine is more effective.

Creature battles in this one are autonomous. no random clicking of body parts and such. you just bring em together and they duke it out. Theres bloodiness now too.

Also dont worry about influence dissapearing in this one and timing your grabs for stuff outside of it. If something is outside your influence then its out. No wildly trying to get something.

The best part of this game is the city building hands down. I've made some unintentionally beautiful and impressive cities one pice at a time.

My only real complaint is the way you have to build walls in 5 seconds after getting a new city otherwise an enemy will come by and attack again.

I love this game too. Right now I'm playing evil. The secret is in building slums. Instead of building villas which have a high impressiveness build hovels and houses, then research the embellishments that look negative and maybe the prison? I've just been trying to tick with items that are bad. I got the tiger unlocker, he rocked the creature in the norse island. He knocked him over and jumped on his head and pulled his throat out. it was awesome. I had played thorugh once before with a wolf and he wasn't as shiny ;(

I want to do a good culture with the chimp, it says he's good with his hands so im guessing he's a really good gatherer and a great builder, along with being super smart.

Ok new complaint. In level 7 when they use the earthquake wonder which = COMPLETE FUCKING DESTRUCTION OF EVERYTHING IN MY CITY IN 2 SECONDS . God damnit.

i used the hurricane wonder in the ifrst japanese island nad it completely wiped the town away, it was kind of funny.

After playing through about 3 levels, and realising there's nothing to it except a quick 9 level campaign, I feel cheated.

Yea, they need to make a patch with at least scenario games. :/

the first one was great the second one was okay but not as huge. Having four or five miracles is kind of shitty, in the first one there was at least ten and the creature actually took some time to build up.

The game seems like it was improved alot at the cost of the better features of the older one.
