K, here's my thingy:
I've been trying to bog down on the fact that I want to be an artist and a writer for the rest of my days. Now, the artwork, I'd be willing to show if I could actually finish a piece without throwing it out because it looks like shit. But until then, I just have my writing, which I feel turns out mildly decent.
Anyway, I really don't have any major outlets for criticism and critiquing of my work... except this board. So every now and then, I've been (and will be) putting various pieces that will usually relate to a fantasy novel I'm working on into the Stories for the Bored forum. Problem is, nobody fucking goes there.
So, if you'd be interested in reading some 1 1/2-pages (possibly more) of fantasy-related shit every now and then, please check that forum out more often. And if you're interested in reading other non-fantasy-related shit from me, I do have some various other things I'm working on in a half-assed manner (The Collector series, an old Mortal Kombat fan fiction that FS told me he loved and wanted to have sex with, and possibly some erotic fiction about me and Jixby having manbabies while watching Good Burger on DVD).
Recently, I posted a revision of a backstory piece entitled "The Legend." The link is
here, which also has a link to the original rough draft. I'd appreciate any opinions, questions, likes, dislikes, suggestions, candid nut shots, and praise (no putting me down. NO FUCKING PUTTING ME DOWN!) you could send my way. And you really should read the rough draft thread if you haven't before.
And while you're there, there are a handful of other pieces there looking for the same attention. But this is about ME! ME ME ME ME ME ME ME. But after you're done with ME, go check their stuff out. I know Professor Cool has started a creative writing class, and he'd love some opinions/help from us too.
