Old Nov 3rd, 2003, 11:50 AM        I have no more room for DVDs
My place is filled to the brim with DVDs, and unless I burn all my books I've got a problem

Also, I have no more room for books. Or shelves. Help please.

Damn, now I feel guilty when I think about all the Afghani children who can't afford DVDs.

Problem #3: I have no room for more boxes.

I'm a student, so I'm living in a bedsitter. Serious space issues. I guess I can always sell/give away/trash the movies I've gotten from work and never watched because I KNOW they will suck. Like Disclosure and others I can't remember what are called.

1-800-NO-COPY'S.

I should trash all the crappy screeners I have like Stepmom and Pluto Nash (which is still in the shrinkwrap.)

How many DVD's do you have?

If you count all box sets as the number of films in them and a television season as 'one', I've got a little over 200.

We're in the exact same boat Pjalne. I have no place to put my DVDs anymore. There's a big pile of them sitting atop my TV as we speak. Stupid DVDs

I'm right there with ya too. I've got a DVD shelf that is supposed to hold several hundred, and it's nearly full. My cd shelf holds like 500 cds or so and that's overflowing onto my dresser. I don't have room to put any more shelves in my apartment, so I guess I'm going to have to go with the whole "retire the crappy ones to a box" idea.

I'm so concerned with shelfspace, that sometimes I buy DVDs of stuff I have on VHS just because I'll be saving a half-inch of space on my shelf.

I still have space to double up on my VHS if I need more room for DVDs. But yeah, Almost every tuesday my DVD collection grows and it freaks me out sometimes.

I've also bought double DVD cases, the kind that hold 2 DVDs but are as thick as one DVD case, just so that I can double up on some DVDs, like movies and their sequels, or TV shows that come in volumes, etc.

Next time you need dvd cases you should go to blockbuster. Someone was telling me that when they got the lord of the rings in for rental they had hundreds of double cases that they pretty much just throw away. You could probaly get them for free from a manager or take a look in the dumpster after hours

I bought a lazy susan. It's really neat because I can organize them to how much I watch them (most-top, middle sporadically, and least bottom), plus it spins so I dont have to thumb through them!

My brother had nearly 250 DVDs before he sold almost all of them, and he kept them in bins and stuff. I have a DVD rack filled up with horror and comedy movies.

I just counted my DVDs by number of disks and I have 401 DVDS

I'm seriously considering storing them in binders. I'd save an amazing ammount of space. But I'd never want to throw away the boxes or anything so they'd just be taking up space somewhere else

Damn, I wish I could afford to own 500 CDs and 200 DVDs. I guess this is what happens when you're a musician and you spend $2000 a year on equipment and maintenance. :/
