Mothman prophesies

I heard this from my physics teacher about this monster called mothman and it had something to do with the bible.
He was mutterng about it while he was on his computer .
He said and I quote "Damn that mothman. Its all happening" I said "whats all happening sir" "mothmans coming havent you read the bible?" I said "No sir Im atheist" and he says "Oh well you'll be one of the first"
Now what the hell does that mean, whos mothman , and why will I be one of the first?
It doesnt make sense and since when does the bible (or the one i've heard of) Include giant man moths that devour your eternal soul?
